ATEX Certified Explosion Proof Infrared IP Camera

Our newest Explosion-Proof Mini Camera is ATEX Certified and can be used for monitoring processes, small spaces, Mobile Transport (propane, Chemicals, etc.), and dusty environments.

This camera is a simple, straight-forward IP camera with a minimal, but intuitive web interface. It is easily configured with a web browser, or the software utility included.  It can be accessed by HTTP,  Onvif compliant NVR/decoder or it can also provide an RTSP feed on a designated port (typically 554, but the port can be re-assigned).  The default IP, username and password is all on a sticker on the camera – so even with minimal IT skills, you will be able to get it up and going in a few minutes!

ATEX Certification & Hazardous Zone Suitability

This explosion-proof camera meets ATEX certification standards and is safe for use in a variety of hazardous environments involving gases, vapors, and combustible dusts. It is rated:

• ATEX Gas Rating: II 2G Ex d IIC T6 Gb
• ATEX Dust Rating: II 2D Ex tb IIIC IP66 T80°C Db

Zone Coverage:

This rating allows the camera to be safely installed in:

• Zone 1 – Areas where explosive gas/vapor atmospheres are likely during normal operation
• Zone 2 – Areas where explosive gas/vapor atmospheres are unlikely, but possible for short duration
• Zone 21 – Areas where combustible dust is likely during normal operation
• Zone 22 – Areas where combustible dust is unlikely, but possible for short duration

⚠️ Not certified for continuous exposure zones such as Zone 0 (gases always present) or Zone 20 (dust always present).

These certifications ensure the camera’s suitability for use in oil refineries, chemical plants, grain processing facilities, and similar hazardous locations.

For example:  Cannabis Processing, Propane Transportation and filling operations, etc.

This Ex-Proof Camera comes with an approximately 6 ft. lead and a pre-installed RJ45 Connector. There is also an adapter to allow the user to add threaded conduit connections (see threaded reducer in pictures).
