The Defiant-IR Dome Camera is not only the best Infrared camera in the Rugged Cams lineup, but also has the best specs in the industry. 35 built-in Infrared LED's throw out light up to 100' at night (80' outdoors), and with 2 different IR Beam spreads (36° and 56°), provides wide and narrow angle lighting for more even IR illumination.

This Dual Voltage, High Resolution Dome Camera has True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) – not “Digital WDR” which only simulates real WDR technology, and a True Day/Night mechanical filter change lens which helps to deliver 700 lines of Resolution from a 1/3” SONY Chipset.

The Defiant-IR has several sets of gaskets and is totally sealed, making it completely Waterproof. Defiant Domes are tank tested at greater than 6' of water and Certified to IP68 standards.

Many cameras claim that they are Weatherproof, but the Defiant-IR can handle environments that can render lesser cameras useless. With a built-in Heater & Blower, the Defiant-IR prevents condensation and fogging from rapid temperature changes, and keeps the camera nice and warm down to -25° below zero. This is why this camera is regularly used in Northern climates as well as inside many walk-in freezers. The Blower operates full time and the Heater comes on at 41°F and turns off at 45°F.
